We’ve had lots of practice at it. Dr. John Hoag first opened our office in 1937; as the first optometrist in Mill Valley, he personally saw to everyone in town who needed eye care, and he was a founding member of the town‘s chamber of commerce. From the 1960s through the ’90s, Dr. Gerald Belanger carried that legacy forward, modernizing Marin Optometry’s technology and investing deeply in the local community.

Since 2000, Dr. Channie Duhn and our chief optician, Sharon Segal, have kept Marin Optometry on the cutting edge of customer satisfaction.
